Flickr pro for a year is about the same cost of a cheap-o filter.

Do you really want the 70-200? I've had the f/4 version for a few years now, and find I'm using it less and less; it's often the third lens I'll add to a day kit (after a UWA, and std. telezoom) and is pretty situational in nature. Unless I know I'll be looking for birds or wildlife, I don't usually bring it. I can see it for portrait work if you really want to, but otherwise you may want to look elsewhere.

Edit: On a hunch, I went through my recent flickr albums where I suspected I had brought along anything longer than a 75mm lens. This year I've probably posted under ten photos from the 70-200, almost all of which are bird photos.

Edit the Second: Aha! Found an album from last year. This was an interesting day as I had essentially been shooting with a manual Nikkormat SLR from about Feburary 2011-November 2011, and was the first with a DSLR in a while.

I suppose I should go out with only with a long lens again and see what results.
