Yup, in a think-like-a-programmer sense it definitely applies. Once you have worked with enough programming languages, you'll find that learning a new language is just learning a new set of syntax. For the most part, the underlying logic in a program is exactly the same, and you apply the same problem-solving skills. I look forward to your work with the TI-89; we definitely need more 68k coders in the community.
