The "programs" I have made thus far have been mostly programs to speed up calculations in my calculus class with my TI-Nspire, but I'm afraid I can't do much more on that platform because of the somewhat crippled programming capabilities. I recently completed a full program to calculate Riemann Sums with the help of Jim Bauwens and have uploaded it to ticalc.org and it is pending approval. I have no experience with the TI 84 series but I am currently reading through your book to gain some knowledge about TI-BASIC and have learned that most of it applies to the TI-89.
